Lourde is one of the most famous pilgrimage centers in the world. In1858 Mother Mary appeared 18 times to the fourteen year old MarieBernadette Soubirous, In a cave near Lourdes in Southern France.Since then innumerable miracles of physical and spiritual healing arehappening there. It is estimated that a million pilgrims visit Lourdes eachyear. The physical cures began within a few days of Our Lady’s firstapparition and have continued ever since. The Volunteers at all timesand every where keep reciting Rosary aloud. Perhaps the most touchingsight of all however and the time when most of the miraculous curesseem to take place is the daily procession of the Blessed Sacrament,when a visiting Prelate carries our Lord into the great Rosary squarein front of the Basilica and blesses the seriously afflicted invalidsindividually as they; lie there in row upon row of stretchers. The miraclesof our Lady; at Lourdes are a wonderful refutation of the errors of ourmaterialistic age and of the modern atheists.
